本日も皆様と共に、大確信の朝の題目一万遍の挑戦から、生命力満タンで出発しております！
Today as well, together with all of you, I am starting the day with my life force fully charged from my morning challenge of chanting 10,000 times with absolute conviction!
昨日、私は夕方の5時半過ぎから、久々となる大切な同志の方のもとへ「家庭訪問（家庭での対話）」に伺わせていただきました。皆様は最近、現場での家庭訪問に走られていますでしょうか？久々にお会いしたその方は「おお、島さん！久しぶり！」と満面の笑顔で迎えてくださり、「どうぞ中へ入って！」と、本当に温かくお家に迎え入れてくださいました。
Yesterday evening, after 5:30 PM, I went on a home visit (personal dialogue) to see a precious fellow member for the first time in a while. Have you been running out for home visits on the frontline lately? The member, whom I hadn’t seen in a while, welcomed me with a big smile, saying, “Oh, Mr. Shima! Long time no see!” and warmly invited me inside.

🔍 「論破」ではなく「調和と敬意」のコミュニケーション
Communication of “Harmony and Respect,” Not “Defeating in Argument”
席に着くと、すぐに今の世界情勢や、日本の現状、様々なニュースについての話題になりました。その中で、その方がご自身の人生経験に基づいた、真剣なご意見を熱く語ってくださったのです。
As soon as we sat down, the conversation turned to current world affairs, the situation in Japan, and various news topics. During this, they passionately shared their earnest opinions based on their own life experiences.
私はお話を聞きながら、「なるほど、そのご意見は本当に正しいですよね」と、まずはありのままのお姿に素真に深く共感いたしました。まず何よりも、その方が本当にお元気で、大確信で生き抜かれている姿を確認できただけで、胸が熱くなるほどの安心感が込み上げてきました。対話を重ねていく中で、時事問題などについて、私とは少し「異なる観点や論点」になる部分もありました。
As I listened, I thought, “I see, that opinion is completely right,” and first deeply empathized with them just as they were. Above all, simply seeing them in such high spirits and living with great conviction filled my heart with a warm sense of relief. As our dialogue progressed, there were some points regarding current affairs where our perspectives and arguments differed slightly.
「相手を言葉で抑え込んだり『論破』したりすることでは絶対にありません。大切なのは、どこでコミュニケーションの『調和（強調）』を取っていくか。『自分が100%正しくて、相手が100%間違っている』という傲慢な一念に立ってしまっては、それは仏法の対話ではありません」
“It is absolutely never about suppressing the other person with words or ‘defeating them in an argument.’ What is vital is finding where we can achieve ‘harmony’ in our communication. If we fall into the arrogant mindset that ‘I am 100% right and the other person is 100% wrong,’ that is no longer a Buddhist dialogue.”
相手への深い敬意を根底に置きながら、池田先生のご指導を通し、「こういう考え方もあるのではないでしょうか」と、臨機応変に、誠実に言葉を交わしていくことが真の対話であると猛烈に実感いたしました。
Keeping deep respect for the individual at the core, and based on Ikeda Sensei’s guidance, I intensely realized that true dialogue means exchanging words flexibly and sincerely, suggesting, “Perhaps we can also look at it from this perspective.”
🎯 襟を正し、自身の信心の軌道を再確認する場
A Place to Correct Myself and Reconfirm the Orbit of One’s Faith
今回の家庭訪問を通して、私は心の底から大確信いたしました。現場へ走り、一人の方の生の声を聞かせていただくという行動は、相手のためであると同時に、「自分自身がどれだけ学ばせてもらえるか」という、己の人間革命の戦いそのものであるということです。
Through this home visit, I attained great conviction from the bottom of my heart. The act of running to the frontline and listening to the raw voice of a single individual is not only for their sake, but it is the very battle of one’s own human revolution—asking myself, “How much can I learn from this?”
違う論点に触れることで、自分自身の信心の襟を正し、池田先生のご指導をもとに「自分は今、正しい信心の軌道に進めているか」「人生の方向性は間違っていないか」を、劇的に再確認させてもらう最高の契機となりました。昨日、同志の方と過ごしたあの濃密で素晴らしい時間は、私の黄金の財産です。現場での生きた交流の中にこそ、自身の成長と学びの糧がすべて詰まっています！
Encountering a different perspective served as the best opportunity to correct my own stance in faith. Based on Ikeda Sensei’s guidance, it allowed me to dramatically reconfirm, “Am I moving along the correct orbit of faith right now?” and “Is the direction of my life correct?” The dense and wonderful time I spent with my fellow member yesterday is my golden treasure. Within live interactions on the frontline, all the food for our own growth and learning is fully packed!
