Every morning I chant Daimoku. And each day, I try many things. Most of them do not go well. That is the plain truth of my days. Still, I do not stop.

The more you try, the more you fail

When you take on many things, of course more of them fail. But that is proof you are trying. The failing itself is not such a big thing. What matters is that you kept reaching for something.

Giving up is what becomes your limit

After trying so much, what I have come to feel is just one thing. A failure is not the real problem. The real danger is stopping the next attempt because one attempt did not work. If you do nothing, that becomes the edge of your life. Giving up is what draws the limit.

Chant, raise your life-force, face the next thing

So I chant Daimoku, I raise my life-force, and I turn to the next thing. One more time. Keep going, and slowly the accuracy rises, and more begins to work. That is how the life I have now was built, one day at a time.

Trying, and failing. And still not giving up. Each single day like that builds the future, for certain. Let us move forward together, today.
