Good morning. I hope you are well today. This is Shima, from Oubaitori.com. This is my record of chanting 10,000 daimoku each morning. Today makes 1,166.

Yesterday was a good day — from Akita, from Tochigi

Yesterday was a good day. Really.

In the afternoon, customers came to the shop. From Akita. And from Tochigi. Young men’s division — a pair of them, and a family.

And the timing worked out. There is so much to talk about with each of them, and the two visits did not overlap. My wife was there as well. The family had young children with them, and she looked after the little one. That was a real help. I am glad it worked out that way.

Both were young men’s division. We talked about the “Prayer for Transforming Life.”

This time in particular — both of them were young men’s division. And we were able to talk about the “Prayer for Transforming Life” as well. They had come to look at altars, of course. But in that flow, we spent a full and worthwhile time together.

What I feel most these days is the talk about faith

What I feel most of all these days is the talk about faith. The Gohonzon. Daimoku. I believe it matters greatly to speak about faith itself.

When someone, for whatever circumstances have brought them here, says they want to change their altar for a new one — that is the greatest chance. That is the moment. That is when the real talk about faith can happen. This is what I believe.

After all the altar talk is done — “By the way.”

So when someone comes to Oubaitori.com, they came to see the altars, and of course we go through them all. “What about this one?” And when all of that talk about the altar is finished, then — “By the way.” I would like people to come with time to spare. That is what opens it.

“The altar you have chosen — did it make you want to chant daimoku? Did this altar strike something in your life? Was it exactly right?” If they feel that, nothing could be better.
