Morning Daimoku #1,173 — Writing by Dictation, Co-Creating With AI

Good morning. I hope you’re doing well today. This is Shima of Oubaitori. This is my Morning Daimoku: Ten Thousand Daimoku Experience — number 1,173.

Writing my new book has truly begun

At last — writing my book has begun. It started in earnest yesterday, and this time I’m using AI to write it by dictation.

I already have a lot of material gathered for my new book, and I’ve put it all into a tool called NotebookLM. When I ask the AI, “Please make a chapter outline,” it lays one out at once. Then I adjust it — “Hmm, that’s not quite right” — back and forth.

Once a chapter outline is set, the material for it is already there, so I tell the AI, “Ask me questions, and I’ll answer them myself.” We turn the answers into writing one piece at a time, weaving in the material and editing as we go.

I wanted to experience dictation, as President Ikeda did

What I’ve taken on for the first time is dictation. President Ikeda dictated The New Human Revolution during a very difficult time, and I wanted to experience that myself.

I learned that if I set up the AI that way, it could be done — and since yesterday it has been a truly meaningful time.

Co-creating with an AI whose purpose differs from mine

I told it: “I want you to draw my faith out from within my life. That is your purpose.” And: “My purpose is to raise a whirlwind of daimoku across the whole world.”

Two different purposes, two different standpoints. I’ve made a start at co-creating with AI across that difference.

Putting each idea into action, and showing the proof

Because I live every day based on daimoku, I can create new value. That’s what I meant yesterday when I said the ideas keep coming.

And not just having ideas — I want to act on them one by one and show the actual proof of what they become.
