A Fresh Morning, a New Start Each Day

Again today, I was able to wake up to a fresh, clear morning.

Well — the tiredness is still there. But each day is a new start. When I chant daimoku with that feeling, I notice it all over again: how wonderful the challenges I’m taking on right now really are. And that I truly am creating value.

How Will I Create Value Today?

And this morning, as I chanted, something more came to me. How will I create value? I’ve started to look forward to that so much.

Whether I notice, or don’t notice — that alone makes my happiness grow and grow. I’m experiencing that right now.

Daimoku Revives Me

The daimoku of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo truly keeps reviving me.

Every day, there’s my physical condition. There are the limits of what I’m able to do. And there are the feelings that come with all of that. They go up and down — like this.

Now, I’m not showing any of this on the outside. It’s all inside me. That’s what I mean.

What Would Really Be Bad

So I find myself thinking, Hmm, this is bad. All sorts of thoughts like that.

But what would really be bad is if it couldn’t stay inside me — if it spilled out and I took it out on other people. That, I believe, is something I truly must not do.

The Rowdy Kid Inside Me Is Passion Exploding

Right now, through daimoku, I’ve become a stronger self. And so it stays inside my heart.

But it isn’t neatly adjusted and under control. No. It’s running wild in my heart.

My “Rowdy Kid” (Abareru-kun), you could say. So to me, this running wild in my heart equals passion exploding.

I won’t deny it. I think it’s fine just the way it is.

As long as I have this feeling, I can create new value again today. Of this, I’m convinced.

Faith Is How We See It — Turning It into Value

Faith is this: how do we see everything that happens?

And then, can we turn what we see into energy? That’s the shift — turning it into value.

That’s what matters, I think. That’s what I experienced today.

Let’s Daimoku!

Thank you again today.

Thank you.

Today’s Question

What will you turn the “Rowdy Kid” inside your heart into today?

Bloom your own way, at your very best.
