Chanting Resonantly Again Today

I was up quite early again today, and I was able to chant daimoku resonantly.

Today I’d like to talk once more about confidence in yourself.

Do You Have Confidence in Yourself?

If someone asks me, “Do you have confidence in yourself?” — of course there are times when I wonder whether I really do.

A Heart That Wavers with Every Decision

Why? Because every single day, one thing after another, I have to make decisions. In those moments I wonder, What do I do here? In the delicate spots, my feelings waver.

Then comes the moment I say, “Right — this is the way we go.” If there’s no confidence backing that up, I can’t boldly declare my resolve.

So it comes down to this: Can I fully believe in the self at the root of my everyday heart? Can I really do this?

The Self That Fights Its Weak Heart Is Strong

That’s why it matters to take on challenges every day, with a heart that fights bravely. Always fighting. Fighting my own weak heart.

The self that fights its weak heart is strong.

A heart that doesn’t fight its weakness is, after all, weak.

Confidence Means Believing in Yourself

Confidence means believing in yourself. And whether you can believe in yourself comes down to whether you are fighting your own weak heart right now. That’s how it felt to me.

How about you? With daimoku as my foundation, I want to make today a day of the greatest value.

Let’s Daimoku! Thank you again today.

Today’s Question

Confidence means believing in yourself. What weak part of your heart will you take on today?

Bloom your own way, at your very best.
