Hello to my dear SGI brothers and sisters around the world! This is Shima from Oubaitori Renaissance.

Today is the final day of the “Spring Training Camp” with my grandchildren staying at my house. This morning, I had a moment of pure joy that touched my heart deeply.

The Most Beautiful Sound: “Let’s chant together!”

As I sat down to start my morning Daimoku, my grandson came downstairs and said, “Grandpa, let’s do it together!” I didn’t even ask him—he chose to join me. There is no greater happiness for a grandfather than to see a grandchild naturally wanting to pray.

We did Gongyo together, and afterward, as I continued chanting to reach my goal, he teased me, saying, “Grandpa, are you still chanting?” I laughed and told him, “I’m going to become a ‘Super Grandpa’ for you!”

Now, we are going for a final walk to see the cherry blossoms before they head home. I will treasure these moments and continue my battle to provide the best service and the best altars to all of you, fueled by the energy of my “Future Division” grandson!
