Experiencing “Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the practice of diligence.”
I am Yukihiro Shima. “Chanting is Joyful. I see the vision of victory!”
I want to share this conviction with all my SGI comrades!
■ A Powerful Start
Good morning! This is Yukihiro Shima from Oubaitori.com. I hope you are all doing wonderful!
Today, I have started the day in the best possible condition.
My morning challenge of chanting 10,000 Daimoku is now only “3 sessions away” from the cumulative total of 10 million. The golden scenery is clearly in my sight.
■ The Weight of 3 Years
This is the first time in my life I have continued chanting consistently for three years.
This accumulation is more than “priceless.” It has become the “Greatest Turning Point” of my life.
Looking back, I honestly reflect on why I didn’t pray this seriously sooner. However, I am filled with deep gratitude that I have been able to stand up now.
■ The Joy of Living My Mission
I have spent 44 years as an altar specialist for SGI members, and I will welcome my 45th anniversary in late August.
Yet, these past three years since I started this serious challenge have brought a brilliance to my life that surpasses all the decades before.
Every morning, as I face the Gohonzon, I feel my heart clearly shifting from “self-centered” prayer to a “Prayer for the awareness and realization of my mission.” My work, my life, and my very state of being—the “actual proof” has changed dramatically from before.
■ Diligent Advancement — Fighting Through Today
The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings states: “Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the practice of diligence.” In the Soka Gakkai spirit, this is “Yumyo Shojin” (brave and vigorous advancement).
This spirit means never giving in to any hardship, having the courage to strive for Human Revolution and Kosen-rufu. It means taking the initiative with courage. Not through schemes, but winning through Daimoku. I will burn with this spirit of diligence and take another brave step forward today!
I will run through this day with the highest passion.
Let’s Chant! Let’s Daimoku!
