英語版『Let’s Daimoku!』に立ちはだかった壁 / The Wall Before the English Edition
英語版の試し刷りが届いたところ、フォントの変換不良で文字が崩れた箇所が見つかりました。有料の書籍である以上「ごめんなさい」では済まされない。そう考えて、いったんAmazonの出版を休止する決断をしました。

落胆の代わりに湧いてきたのは知恵でした。左に日本語の原作、右に英語の翻訳を並べた日英併記の一冊にすれば、ページ数は倍になり、読み応えのある本になる。失敗が、より良い一冊への入り口に変わった瞬間でした。1日1万遍の唱題から始まった挑戦は、二〇二六年四月六日に一千万遍へ到達。次は一億遍を目指してまいります。

Hello, and welcome to Part Two of this week’s broadcast. Today’s story is about a failure—but one in which wisdom rose up from within me in the very middle of the setback.
The proof copy of the English edition of Let’s Daimoku! arrived, and I found that some characters had broken during the font conversion. Since this is a paid book, a simple apology would not be enough. So I paused the Amazon release at once.
“This is hendoku iyaku—turning poison into medicine. It is a benefit!” Instead of discouragement, wisdom welled up. Why not place the Japanese original on the left and the English translation on the right—a bilingual edition? The page count would double, and the book would become richer and more satisfying. A failure had become the doorway to a better book.
This book records how I—someone who was poor at fine detail, poor at persevering, and even poor at chanting—transformed my daily life through daimoku. Beginning on April 23, 2023, my challenge of 10,000 daimoku a day reached 10 million on April 6, 2026. Next, I aim for 100 million. Because I challenge myself, I evolve. Toward worldwide kosen-rufu—Let’s Daimoku!
