Today I Travel to Tokyo. What I Prayed for First Was Absolute Safety
Good morning. I hope you are well today. This is Shima of Oubaitori.com, with my morning record of 10,000 daimoku.
It is raining today. I am travelling to Tokyo for work, so first of all I prayed firmly for absolute safety — to come home without a single accident — and for that work to be a great victory.
Chant Until Even Your Face Changes
Day after day, I keep chanting daimoku. There was guidance I received in the past — that you chant daimoku until even your face changes.
If You Are Sincere, It Shows in Your Appearance
If you are sincere, it shows in what the Lotus Sutra calls “appearance” — the first of the ten factors: “This reality consists of appearance, nature, entity, power, influence, internal cause, relation, latent effect, manifest effect, and their consistency from beginning to end.” Consistent from beginning to end, your determination, your expression, your conduct and your result all fall into place together, without exception.
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo Is Shojin
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is shojin — ceaseless, diligent advance. The self that keeps advancing goes forward without limit, every single day. With shojin as my foundation, with daimoku as my foundation: today too, absolute victory, absolutely no accidents, and a day of the very highest value creation. That is the prayer I chanted through this morning.
