Good morning. How are you today? Bloom your own way, at your very best. This is Shima of Oubaitori.com. This is the Morning Daimoku record, day 1,152.
The temperature dropped sharply today. The swings in this weather are severe, so please take care of yourself. I hope none of you catch cold. And if you are tired, rest early. Health and long life come first.
And then, all success and all victory. This is the guidance on the prayer for transforming one’s life. Just as President Ikeda’s guidance says. I want today to be a day where I bloom my own way, at my very best. Thank you, as always.
What I thought about again today
When I wake in the morning. When I sit before the Gohonzon and chant. During gongyo. At the moment I finally enter the chanting itself. What heart I bring to that moment — I believe this matters greatly.
Yes, today is connected to yesterday. That much is true. And still, a day that is not yesterday is beginning. How I am aware of that — or whether I am aware at all.
It all comes down to one’s own ichinen
Is it an awareness that says, every day is more or less the same? Or is it a day that says, today, with a fresh determination? Is it a day I can close by saying, today, I am grateful? Or a day I close by saying, today was just like any other?
It all comes down to one’s own ichinen, one’s own awareness. That is what I think.
A new day has started today
I have started this day with the feeling of being born again. Let’s Daimoku. Thank you, as always.
One millimeter a day, one step a day — I want to keep growing. I want to keep evolving. That is how I feel. Thank you.
