Good morning. I hope you’re doing well today. This is Shima from Oubaitori. This is the Morning Daimoku — 10,000 Daimoku a Day journal, entry #1,197.
Six Hours of Sleep — Twice
Yesterday, starting from about the evening, I was able to sleep — six hours, twice.
So right now, I’m getting myself back to where I was.
Managing My Health Is Hard
Managing my health is really hard.
I’m quite careful about getting enough sleep. In the evenings, too, I try not to waste time, and I focus on going to bed as early as I can.
Even so, my wife says, “But you’re sleeping so well.”
And I think — yes, that’s true. But I’m not getting the kind of sleep that actually takes the tiredness away. So now and then, like this — about once a week — I’ve been ending up with a “double sleep” more often.
I think before long, I’ll find a new style — a better way of going about transforming my destiny.
Finding My Own Pace
Every day, I basically go to bed around 11 p.m. And I want to start my day at about 5 a.m.
That’s the pace I want to keep.
Of course, everyone’s life is different. Each person is different. Finding your own pace — that’s what matters most.
I’m Going to Transform It All!
Here’s the challenge I’ve taken on: the more my destiny piles up, the harder I take it on.
It’s not exactly “paying it back double,” but that’s my approach. So I think the mental strain is real — my brain is working pretty hard, too.
In the middle of all this, with daimoku as my foundation — I’m going to transform my destiny, all of it!
I have a feeling I may already be at the halfway point.
Even on Days Off, a Little Further Forward
My days off from work are Wednesdays and Sundays. But most mornings, I work anyway — to move forward, even a little.
How about you?
Let’s Daimoku!
Thank you again today.
Today’s Question
What is your own pace — the one you want to keep every day?
Bloom your own way, at your very best.
