祈っていたことが、現実になっていく / What I Prayed For Is Becoming Real
題目をあげ続けていると、ある時期から、はっきりと分かる瞬間が来ます。「祈っていたことが、現実になってきている」──そういう瞬間です。先週の私は、まさにその連続でした。偶然のように見えるかもしれません。けれども、毎朝一万遍の題目をあげてきた者にとっては、偶然ではないんです。祈り、動き、また祈る。その繰り返しの中で、現実のほうが少しずつ形を変えていくのです。
今はまだ「基礎工事」の段階 / Still Laying the Foundation
正直に申し上げると、今、目の前に見えているのは、まだ基礎の部分だけです。大きな建物を建てるとき、最初に見えるのは土台です。外から見れば地味で、何ができるのかまだ分かりません。心に描いている完成の姿とは、まだギャップがあります。けれども、これは確実に積み上がっていく。信心を続けていて苦しくなるのは、たいてい「まだ何も変わっていないように見える」時期です。その時期こそが基礎工事なのです。土台が深いほど、建物は高くなります。
題目を根本にすれば、必ずその通りになる / With Daimoku as the Foundation, It Will Come True
題目を根本とする。そして、自分だけでなく、他の人の幸福も祈る。自他ともの幸福を祈り、そのために実践していく。そうすれば、必ずその通りになっていきます。これは理屈ではなく、この一週間を生き抜いて得た、私自身の結論です。さあ、今週はどのように展開していくでしょうか。楽しみで仕方がありません。

Good morning. This is Yukihiro Shima of Oubaitori.com. Here is today’s report from my daily practice of 10,000 daimoku each morning.
Last week was one miracle after another. Right up to the final moment of the final day, something great was built. And I know why: because daimoku was the foundation of it all. That is what allowed me to meet this turning point in my life with such a deep sense of fulfillment.
1. What I prayed for is becoming real
When you keep chanting, a moment arrives when you see it clearly: the very things you prayed for are taking shape in reality. Last week, that moment came again and again. To an outsider it might look like coincidence. But for someone who has chanted 10,000 daimoku every morning, it is no coincidence. Prayer is not writing a wish on paper and walking away. You pray, you act, you pray again — and within that rhythm, reality itself begins to change shape.
2. We are still at the foundation stage
To be honest, what I can see right now is only the foundation. When a great building goes up, the first thing you see is the base — steel and concrete, plain and unremarkable from the outside. There is still a gap between the finished picture in my heart and what stands before my eyes. And yet I know: this will rise. Faith feels hardest during the season when nothing appears to be changing. But that season is the foundation work. The deeper the base, the taller the building.
3. With daimoku as the foundation, it will surely come true
Make daimoku the foundation. Pray not only for your own happiness but for the happiness of others — and then act on that prayer. When you do, things will unfold exactly as you have prayed. This is not theory. It is the conclusion I reached by living through this past week.
How will this week unfold? I honestly cannot wait to find out — not because the outcome is unknown, but because I know it will move in a good direction. Perhaps that state of life is the greatest treasure daimoku has given me.
