Others Do Not Understand Us as Much as We Hope
We tend to expect the people around us to understand. “They should know this without me saying it.” “Surely they can tell how I feel.”
But honestly, others do not understand us as much as we hope they do.
And the thing we most want them to understand — that is often the very thing that does not reach them.
Little by little, that gap builds up. And we begin to lose confidence in ourselves.
