Every Shelf, In Stock — SGI Butsudan Net Store Tour (July 18, 2026)

Store-tour promo banner: smiling man in a showroom with bold headline 'The whole store, shelf by shelf!' and date 2026.7.18

Hello, and welcome. Shine as only you can, at your very best — this is Yukihiro Shima of SGI Butsudan Net (Oubaitori.com), a specialist store for Soka Gakkai butsudan.

On Saturday, July 18th, I took you on a long-awaited walk through our store. It was a cloudy, humid day outside, but inside the showroom our shelves are lined all the way to the back — from pre-owned butsudan to the Kokū Zushi. Today, I’ll show you every shelf.

Step inside — the store on a summer day

I moved the car into the shade, and in we go. We’re open for business today, with our store manager Mr. Kimura looking after customers. More people have been coming in to visit lately, and I’m truly grateful. One of our two air conditioners is down, so a fan has joined the team — sending a breeze all the way to the back work area, where I usually sit and wrestle with AI to build our product pages.

Pre-owned butsudan — fine pieces in stock

First, a unit that has been treated and ships next week, plus two more pre-owned pieces in good condition on either side. There’s also a large zushi-style butsudan — a great choice for anyone looking for one with metal fittings. Some pieces have a small dent here and there, but you can inspect the condition of each one closely.

Pieces fitted with higher-grade ritual implements are especially worth seeing. The automatic open-close switch has been replaced and works smoothly, and we also offer an option to change the lighting from fluorescent to LED. The older ranma (transom carving) has a cultural beauty you won’t find in today’s mass-produced pieces — honestly, I find these far more wonderful. One piece was polished so beautifully that its surface reflects like a mirror; you can almost see yourself in it.

Kokū Zushi in stock, and what’s coming next

We’re also preparing a Kokū Zushi to be delivered to a newly built home next week. I showed you “No. 001,” the very origin of the line. Ebony has grown scarce, and the next supply is hard to secure. Our karin (Chinese quince) Kokū Zushi pieces are down to the last few — one is already reserved for a customer in Aichi. If you’re interested in the remaining karin Kokū Zushi, reserve or place your order now through the product page, and we can deliver it in autumn, by around November.

There’s also the “Type 01,” which differs mainly in the door handle, and a version made from a rare heirloom wood that hardly ever appears on the market (a material under protected-heritage status that can no longer be newly sourced) — available only from our existing stock. On top of that, a newly designed Kokū Zushi is already commissioned and will be ready through the autumn and winter, tuned to today’s needs. Please look forward to it.

Reaching the world — butsudan from Oubaitori

A mini butsudan has gone to the Netherlands, and one to Mexico as well. We’ve received orders for the Kokū Zushi from Hong Kong and Germany, too. Little by little, our butsudan are reaching homes overseas. I’ll keep walking this path so we can contribute, even a little, to the world.

Rooted in daimoku, living out with all my strength the mission that only I can fulfill — I’ll keep expressing that, in the present tense, through YouTube, my books, and our website. Under our new message, “Shine as only you can, at your very best — SGI Butsudan Net,” let’s keep advancing together, one step at a time, for kosen-rufu. Thank you for your attention.
