An Early Night, a Strong Start
Yesterday I managed to get to bed a little early, so today I got off to a great start. Thank you.
My eyes, though — I may have been looking at the computer too much, and at my phone too much. What do you call it, when they dry out? I think I might have dry eyes, so it’s probably best not to sit too close to the screen. Anyway, that’s how things are.
In the Storm of Destiny, Showing What We’re Made Of
So why do I have this much energy? Because another new idea came to me. Honestly, it surprised even me.
For us human beings, it comes down to this. In the storm of destiny — destiny, destiny, destiny piling up until we’re backed into a corner — how do we break through it?
Maybe it’s only when we’re pushed all the way to the edge that we really show what we’re made of.
Unfortunately, in my case, I have to be backed into a corner. Without that final push — that last “gah!” — this kind of idea just doesn’t come to me.
Right Under My Nose — and the Fog Lifted
There’s a Japanese saying: “It’s darkest right at the foot of the lighthouse.” How true that is.
A new idea came to me! I want to turn it into a new business. Day after day, right up until the day before yesterday, I’d been stuck in a fog of frustration.
And now that fog has suddenly lifted.

Our Core Business, Our Successor, and a New Venture
Today, once again, I’m getting this new business started. Of course, our core business is our specialist store for Soka Gakkai Buddhist altars.
We also have a successor. I’ll keep entrusting more and more of the work to them, and they’ll grow through it. Alongside that, I’ll be expanding into new business as well.
