私、島は毎朝、皆さまの絶対勝利と幸福を祈り、朝の「題目1万遍」の闘争に全力で挑戦しております。
そんな中、今朝もある同志の方から切実なLINEをいただきました。
Every morning, I challenge myself to chant 10,000 Daimoku with all my might, praying for your absolute victory and happiness.
Amidst this, I received an earnest LINE message from a fellow member this morning.
「島さん、毎日お題目をあげるのが本当に大変で困っています。島さんはもう、朝の1万遍をあげ終えたんですか？」
“Mr. Shima, I am struggling because chanting Daimoku every day is very difficult. Have you already finished your 10,000 Daimoku this morning?”
このような内容でした。私はちょうどあげ終わったところでしたので、「今終わったところですよ！ありがとうございます！」とお返事をさせていただきました。
That was the message. Since I had just finished chanting, I replied, “I have just finished right now! Thank you so much!”
実は、皆さまにお伝えしたいことがあります。
毎日1万遍の題目をあげている私ですが、決して「完璧な人間」として御本尊の前に座っているわけではありません。私自身、毎日一生懸命に生きていく中で、日々たくさんの反省点があります。
「あの時の対応は、どう改善したらよかったのだろうか……」と、リアルに悩み、葛藤しながらお題目を唱えているのです。
Actually, there is something I want to share with you all.
Although I chant 10,000 Daimoku every day, I do not sit before the Gohonzon as a “perfect person.” As I live my life earnestly every day, I have many reflections and regrets.
“How could I have improved my response back then…?” I chant while genuinely worrying and struggling with real-life challenges.
🌟 御本尊との対話で命が整理整頓されていく
Our Lives Are Organized and Purified Through Dialogue with the Gohonzon
しかし、ひとたび御本尊に向かって唱題へと命を重ねていくと、素晴らしい変化が起こります。
御本尊と1対1で対話するように題目を唱えているうちに、自分の中の様々な思いが「精査」され、混沌としていた悩みがきちんと整理整頓されていくのです。
However, once I face the Gohonzon and deeply chant Daimoku, a wonderful transformation occurs.
As I chant as if having a one-on-one conversation with the Gohonzon, the various thoughts inside me are “refined,” and my chaotic worries are neatly organized.
現実の社会では、こちらの思いが伝わらないこともあります。
相手との認識のズレに悩んだり、良かれと思ったことで誤解を受けてしまったりすることだってあります。
「どうしてこんなに自分の思いが伝わらないんだろう」と、気持ちが沈む瞬間は誰にでもあるはずです。
In real society, there are times when our intentions are not communicated well.
We worry about gaps in understanding with others, or we get misunderstood even when we mean well. Everyone has moments when their heart sinks, thinking, “Why can’t I get my thoughts across?”
しかし、日蓮大聖人は、私たちが直面するあらゆる祈りに対して、このように仰せです。
結果がどうあれ、すべては自分の信心、自分の祈りの深さで決まる。
However, Nichiren Daishonin states that whether our prayers are answered depends entirely on our faith and the depth of our prayers, no matter what the outcome is.
そう腹が決まった時、私たちは現実を乗り越える強い力を生み出すことができます。
たとえ誤解されることがあろうとも、「私は私としての真実を語り、どこまでも誠実に振る舞っていこう！」―そう御本尊に誓い、お題目をあげながら、毎日少しでも改善し、一歩でも「進化」していく。これが私の送っている1日1日です。
When we make up our minds this way, we can generate a powerful force to overcome reality.
Even if I am misunderstood, I pledge to the Gohonzon, “I will speak my truth and act with utmost sincerity!” While chanting Daimoku, I improve myself slightly every day and advance step by step. This is how I spend each day.
🌟 「現実」に惑わされず、「真実」の人生を
Live a Life of “Truth,” Unswayed by Surface “Reality”
お題目をあげ続けることは、自分の未完成な部分を、1つ1つ組み上げていくような作業だと私は感じています。
他人の人生を羨む必要はありません。自分自身の「桜梅桃李の使命」に従って、自分が一番望む「満足の人生」でありたい。
I feel that continuing to chant Daimoku is like assembling the unfinished parts of myself piece by piece.
There is no need to envy anyone else’s life. Following my own mission of “Oubaitori” (cherry, plum, peach, and damson—each blossoming uniquely), I want to live the most “satisfying life” that I desire.
絶対的幸福を掴んで、自分自身の仏界を引き出していきたいんだ！という強い気持ちで、私は毎日お題目をあげています。
“I want to grasp absolute happiness and powerfully draw forth the Buddha nature from within my own life!” With this strong determination, I chant Daimoku every day.
「レッツ！題目！」
“Let’s Daimoku!”
今日も共々に、最高の1日を勝ち取ってまいりましょう！よろしくお願いいたします！
