🍻 居酒屋でノンアル乾杯！旧友の心を震わせた夜の語らい
A Non-Alcoholic Toast at the Izakaya! A Night-time Dialogue that Shook an Old Friend’s Heart
昨日、東京からはるばるお店（桜梅桃李）に来店してくれた小学校の旧友。昼の部でお店を見てもらいながら熱く仏法の真髄を語り合い、私の普段の仕事ぶりを実演した後、いよいよお楽しみの「夜の部（夕食会）」へと突入しました！
Yesterday, my elementary school friend came all the way from Tokyo to visit our shop. After passionately discussing the essence of Buddhism and demonstrating my daily work during the day, we finally entered the long-awaited “Night Session” (dinner party)!
実は私たち2人とも、すでに「アルコールを卒業」しておりまして（笑）、居酒屋に入りながらも「ノンアルコール」で最高の乾杯を交わしました。そこからさらに、深く熱い語り合いが始まったのです。
Actually, both of us have already “graduated from alcohol” (laughs), so even inside the Izakaya, we shared the best toast with non-alcoholic drinks. From there, an even deeper and hotter conversation began.
その席で、旧友は私に向かって本当に嬉しい、感動的な言葉を語ってくれました。
At the table, he shared truly joyful and moving words with me:
「島君、今日は本当に会えて嬉しかった。心から感動したよ。世間一般で言われている宗教のイメージとは違って、日蓮大聖人の仏法、あるいは創価学会の教えの本質が何なのか、島君の今やっている行動や、お店で色々なことを見せてもらったことで、少し分かった気がする。本当に素晴らしいと思ったよ」
“Shima-kun, I am genuinely happy that we could meet today. I am deeply moved. Different from the image of religion that the general public holds, I feel I’ve come to understand a little bit of the true essence of Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism and the Soka Gakkai’s teachings, thanks to seeing your current actions and everything you showed me at your shop. I think it is truly wonderful.”
さらに、先日の同窓会で再会した立派ですばらしい他の同級生や恩師の皆様が、現在直面している「現実生活の模様」についても話題に及びました。
私はあえて「宿命」という直接的な仏法用語は差し控えましたが、彼らが直面している人生の現実を、私なりの信心の眼で見つめ、受け止め、彼にその本質を語りました。
Furthermore, the conversation turned to the “current realities of life” faced by our wonderful classmates and teachers whom we reunited with at the previous gathering. I intentionally refrained from using the direct Buddhist term “karma” (shukumei), but viewed the realities of their lives through the eyes of my faith and discussed the true essence with him.
すると彼は、深く感銘を受けた表情でこう言ってくれたのです。
「島君のその物事の捉え方は、やっぱり仏法からきているのか？……いや、本当に島君の話は的を射ているよね！」
Then, with a deeply impressed expression, he said to me: “Shima-kun, does your way of perceiving things really come from Buddhism? …Wow, your perspective is truly spot-on!”
私の仏法者としての人間観、鋭い洞察力に、彼は心からの納得と評価を寄せてくれました。
He expressed genuine agreement and admiration for my view of humanity and keen insight as a practitioner of Buddhism.
💡 令和新時代の仏法対話：ただ「ありのまま」を分かち合う
Buddhist Dialogue in the New Era of Reiwa: Just Sharing “As It Is”
彼は今、まさに人生の大きな転機（ステージ）に立っていると言っていました。だからこそ、「今日の島君との対話はとても勉強になったし、ものすごく刺激を受けたよ」と、深く感銘を受けていたのです。
He mentioned that he is currently standing at a major turning point (stage) in his life. That is why he was profoundly impressed, saying, “Today’s dialogue with you taught me so much and gave me incredible stimulation.”
では、どのようにして彼の気持ちをここまで惹きつけ、仏法の素晴らしさを届けることができたのでしょうか？
How, then, was I able to captivate his heart this much and deliver the greatness of Buddhism to him?
振り返ってみると、私は彼に対して何一つ無理強いをしていません。「ああしろ、こうしろ」という強要は一切なく、もちろん彼を批判するようなことも全くありません。同じ学び舎で育った大切な「竹馬の友」として、一人の人間として最大に尊重し、尊びながら、同じ目線で語り合っただけです。
Looking back, I did not force anything upon him. There was no coercion to “do this or do that,” and of course, absolutely no criticism of him. As precious childhood friends who grew up in the same school, I simply respected and valued him to the utmost as a fellow human being, speaking with him on the exact same eye level.
ただただ、自分が純粋に御題目を唱えているということ、日々情熱を持って活動していること、題目で自分の潜在能力（仏界）を爆発させているんだ！という姿を、ありのままに話しただけなのです。
I simply shared, just as it is, how I purely chant Daimoku, how I carry out my daily activities with passion, and how I explode my infinite potential (Buddha-nature) through Daimoku.

そしてもう一つ、大きな驚きと確信がありました。なんと、私に会いに来る前に、私の著書『レッツ！題目』を事前に少し読み込んでからお店に来てくれていたのです！そして別れ際には、「今度はもっとちゃんと、最初から最後までしっかり読み込んでから、もう一度ここに来るよ」とまで言ってくれました。
And there was another major surprise and conviction. To my amazement, before coming to see me, he had already read through parts of my book, “Let’s Daimoku!” beforehand! As we parted, he even said, “Next time, I will read it more thoroughly from cover to cover before coming here again.”
やはり、自分の体験や確信をこうしてYouTubeで発信し、書籍として「記録に残していくこと」は、相手に真実を伝えていくための最大のきっかけになると強く確信いたしました。デジタル資産を通じた発信こそが、現代におけるお互いの価値観を共有し、精神的な変革をもたらす強力な架け橋となります。
This strongly reconfirmed my conviction that sharing my experiences and convictions on YouTube and keeping them in written records as books serve as the greatest catalysts for conveying the truth. Broadcasting through digital assets forms a powerful bridge to share values and bring about a spiritual transformation in the modern era.
楽しい時間はあっという間に過ぎ、私の車で、彼が宿泊するビジネスホテルの入口まで送り届けました。車を降り、ホテルの入口での本当に名残惜しい別れ際、彼は胸を熱くしながら私にこう語ってくれたのです。
The delightful time flew by in a flash, and I drove him to the entrance of the business hotel where he was staying. Stepping out of the car, at that deeply nostalgic parting moment at the entrance, his heart was full as he shared these words with me:
「島君、今日は本当に会えて心から嬉しかった。ものすごく刺激を受けたよ。この夏、だいたい1ヶ月後くらいに、君の本を最初から最後までしっかり読み込んで、また会いに来るよ！」
“Shima-kun, I am truly, deeply happy that we could meet today. It was incredibly stimulating. This summer, about a month from now, I will read your book thoroughly from cover to cover and come back to see you again!”
相手にこの信心の真実を伝え、お互いの価値観を共有する、最高の素敵な再会となりました。
It became the most wonderful reunion, conveying the truth of this faith and sharing our values with each other.
🚀 次の1ヶ月で、さらに輝く勝利の姿を！
Showing an Even More Brilliantly Victorious Self in the Next Month!
彼が再びやってくるまでの、これからの約30日間。私の朝の題目は、いよいよ「1100万遍」の金字塔に到達していることになります。
During the next 30 days or so before he comes back, my morning Daimoku will finally reach the monumental milestone of **11 million chants**.
私は日々の「南無妙法蓮華経」の御題目で、自分自身の潜在能力（仏界）をさらに限界突破で引き出し、命をピカピカに磨き上げてまいります！
Through my daily chanting of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, I will further draw forth my infinite potential (Buddha-nature) and polish my life to a brilliant shine!
1ヶ月後、さらに大勝利して、有言実行で進化している私の姿を彼にまた見せていける最高のチャンス（戦い）ができました。日常の何気ない友情の交流の中にこそ、最高の人間教育と、生命を変革する対話があります。さあ、今日も同志の皆様と共に、世界広宣流布の新しい展開へ向けて全力で走り抜いてまいりましょう！
This has given me the greatest opportunity (battle) to show him, one month from now, how I am walking the talk and continuously evolving in total victory! Within casual everyday friendships lies the highest human education and life-transforming dialogue. Let’s run forward with all our might toward the new expansion of worldwide Kosen-rufu together with all our comrades today!
さあ、今日もわが胸中に「無限の可能性の生命力」を満々と引き出し、威風堂々と我が人生の勝ち鬨を飾ってまいりましょう！最高の生命力で、今日もまた価値ある一歩を前進していきましょうね！
Now, today as well, let us fully bring forth the “life force of infinite possibilities” within our hearts and majestically declare the shout of victory in our lives! With the ultimate life force, let’s take another valuable step forward today!
