Good morning. How are you today? This is Shima from Oubaitori.com. This is my morning record of chanting ten thousand daimoku — number 1,180.
Rested, but still a little tired
I went to bed early again last night, and I’m in very good shape. Still, I’m a bit sleepy. Maybe the tiredness had built up more than I thought.
What the new setup means
Some of you have been curious about our new setup, and I received comments about it.
Until now, store manager Kimura and I have done most of the work. My wife has been handling things like the accounts, but I wanted her to bring more of her thinking into the work itself. So on Saturday morning we sat down and talked it through properly, and decided to work as a team.
Kimura and I have reached the limit of what the two of us can do. To do more, we need to borrow strength from somewhere else.
Putting what we already have to work
Our website seems to have become far too much about me. So they look at it from the side: “Does this expression show only your own world?” “Isn’t it becoming self-righteous?” “Is it reaching Gakkai members all across the country?”
For the videos, my wife will take the camera and film me. And for the sake of the next generation, my second daughter will try adding Instagram. That’s how I hope we can move forward. That is what I mean by a new setup.
It doesn’t mean new people are joining. The resources we already had weren’t being put to full use, and now my family is lending a hand there.
In harmony, united as a family
Only then can we — in harmony and united as a family — firmly protect this specialist store for Soka Gakkai Buddhist altars. Of course, it is for you. And I am convinced it serves worldwide kosen-rufu.
Let’s Daimoku!
I started today with that feeling. I humbly ask for your support.
Bloom your own way, at your very best.
