Morning Daimoku #1,181: Everything Has Meaning — What Am I Living For, and for Whom? | Oubaitori.com

Good morning. How are you today? This is Shima from Oubaitori.com. This is my morning record of chanting ten thousand daimoku — number 1,181.

I slept well

Until yesterday, my body felt very heavy, and I was quite worn down mentally too. But somehow, with daimoku at the core, I made sleep my first priority. I slept well.

I packed it too full

In the meantime there were council meetings and many face-to-face conversations. I had packed my schedule far too full — this, that, and everything else.

So I’ve decided to set my book, LB³, aside for a while. Otherwise, the schedule just doesn’t work.

My family joins the work

And from today, we start a new setup. After talking it over, my family will join in the work a little. I’m truly glad.

I’m now in my 45th year of running my own business. Keeping a business going all this time takes quite something.

Everything has meaning

On top of that, I worked and worked, then came to realize the power of daimoku, and set my life anew with daimoku at the core. This is now my fourth year.

What I feel as I chant is that everything has meaning. My life feels it.

Lately I’ve had many interesting dreams — jumping back some 30 years into the past. Even there, I keep asking: What am I living for? Why? For whom? Each day, I ask myself what my existence means.

Let’s Daimoku!
Today too, I’ll give it my all.

Bloom your own way, at your very best.
