What I feared most

Yesterday, at work, I lost a customer’s trust. That is the very thing I fear most.

Our LINE exchange itself had gone well.

The old price

For various reasons, I had hidden the items we had no stock of from our website for a while. Later I decided it was better to put them all back up, marked as made-to-order, since we can supply every item. That part was fine. But the prices shown were still the prices from when the items were first released.

Since then there has been a second price increase this year, so prices have gone up. I didn’t notice. In the end, I failed to check, and that item showed one price in the morning and another in the afternoon.

The customer saw both. For some time, they had been considering it. For some time, I didn’t notice.

A mistake I made myself

The customer sent me a photo and said they were considering this one.

I thought, this is wrong, I have to correct it. I corrected the price and sent an apology on LINE.

In the middle of everything going on for them, the customer had decided to replace their butsudan, and then told me.

I explained, with a sincere apology. But I had surprised them.
I had worn their heart out.

I made this mistake myself. I am truly sorry. Yesterday, and again today, I sent another apology on LINE.

The wrong I created becomes karma, and I will carry it

Last night and this morning, I chanted daimoku and apologized once more, to the Gohonzon and to the customer.

Buddhism is strict. My resolve to live with daimoku at the core is still far from enough.

If I hold my work as my mission, I am determined to pursue my human revolution even further, and to keep making courageous, diligent effort.

Let’s Daimoku!
I’ll give my all again today.

Bloom your own way, at your very best.
