A Clear Autumn Sky

Every day brings all kinds of things. But today, the autumn sky is perfectly clear.

How will the value of my life — and yours — expand today? That depends on me. And it depends on you.

That Deep Strength Wells Up

As I chant daimoku, a power wells up from within me — I want to create value, more and more. That deep strength rises up. And then I take on the challenge.

This, I believe, is the true joy of my life, one day at a time.

Both Suffering and Joy

Regarding both suffering and joy as facts of life, I chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo — and that is truly what I feel.
(cf. “Happiness in This World,” The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 681)

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo lets me feel, one thing at a time — delicately, yet dynamically — the value of being alive right now. It is astonishing.

And because I am alive, I ask how I will live. Moment by moment, my own life fills with joy and excitement. That is the state I am in now.

The Greatest of All Joys

Today is October 10. It makes me happy.

Let’s Daimoku! I want to go forward today with the greatest of all joys. Thank you for being with me.
(cf. The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, pp. 211–12)

Bloom your own way, at your very best.
