日々の「朝の題目1万遍体験記」、本日は昨日私の身に起きた、嬉しくて嬉しくて、皆さまに一刻も早くご報告したかった「素晴らしい奇跡の瞬間」についてお話しさせていただきます。
In today’s “Chanting 10,000 Daimoku Daily” journal, I want to share a wonderful, miraculous moment that happened to me yesterday. I am just so overjoyed and couldn’t wait to share it with all of you!
👦 「お題目、一緒にやる？」孫の小さな一歩 / A Grandchild’s Small Yet Great Step
先週の土曜日に運動会を終えたばかりの私の孫が、昨日、我が家に遊びにやってきました。
最初はいつものように、積み木などのオモチャで遊ぶのかなと思っていたのです。
Yesterday, my grandchild, who just finished a school sports day last Saturday, came to visit our house. At first, I thought they would just play with blocks or toys as usual.
ところが、バーバ（妻）が何気なく一言、
「〇〇ちゃん、お題目やる？」と声をかけました。
However, my wife (Ba-ba) casually asked, “Hey 〇〇-chan, do you want to chant Daimoku with us?”
すると、孫がコクリと大仰に頷いて「うん、一緒にやる！」と言うではありませんか。
そこから、我が家での小さな、しかし偉大な「勤行・唱題」への挑戦が始まりました。
To our surprise, my grandchild gave a big, enthusiastic nod and said, “Yes, let’s do it together!” That marked the beginning of a small yet profound challenge of Gongyo and Shodai in our home.
🍊 赤色の数珠を手に、小さな手を合わせて / Little Hands Holding the Red Beads
私たちは、お気に入りの赤色のお数珠を孫の小さな手に持たせました。
御本尊に向かって、左側にはバーバ、前にはじいじ（私）が座ります。
「ここを持ってね。まずは方便品を一緒にやろう。お題目は続けてゆっくりあげるんだよ」と教えながら、一緒にお題目を10遍、ゆっくりと、真剣にあげさせていただきました。
We placed our favorite red Buddhist prayer beads (Juzu) into those tiny hands. Facing the Gohonzon, Ba-ba sat on the left, and I (Jii-ji) sat in front. “Hold it like this. Let’s do the Hoben-pon (Expedient Means chapter) first. We will chant Daimoku slowly and continuously,” I explained. Together, we chanted 10 slow, heartfelt Daimoku.
さらに、お題目をあげ終え、ご祈念（お祈り）の時間になった時のことです。
孫の目はキラキラと輝き、私の言葉をじっと待っています。
Then, as we finished chanting and moved to the silent prayers (Gonen), my grandchild’s eyes were sparkling with curiosity, waiting intently for my words.
「〇〇ちゃん、ご祈念っていうのはね、神様や御本尊様にお祈りをすることなんだよ。今からじいじが、何を祈っているかお話しするね」
私は孫の目を見つめながら、こう語りかけました。
I looked into those bright eyes and said, “〇〇-chan, offering prayers means making a determination to the Gohonzon. Let Jii-ji tell you what I am praying for right now.”
「じいじがスーパーじいじになりますように。
バーバがスーパーバァバになりますように。
パパがスーパーパパになりますように。
そして〇〇ちゃんが『スーパー〇〇ちゃん』になりますようにって、今、一生懸命お祈りしたんだよ」
“I am praying with all my heart so that Jii-ji can become a ‘Super Jii-ji,’ Ba-ba can become a ‘Super Ba-ba,’ Daddy can become a ‘Super Daddy,’ and you, 〇〇-chan, can become a ‘Super 〇〇-chan’!”
その言葉を聞いた瞬間、孫はニコニコっと、本当に嬉しそうな、満面の笑みを浮かべてくれました。
The moment those words left my mouth, a huge, radiant smile spread across my grandchild’s face, looking absolutely delighted.
✨ 目の前で「信心の姿」を伝えるという現証 / Conspicuous Proof of Passing the Baton
大人が真剣に祈る姿、そしてその祈りが「自分たち家族全員が、もっと最高に輝くためのものなんだ」という事実を、お題目を通じて孫の目に見せ、その心に、命の奥底に、一番良い形で伝えることができたのです。
Through Daimoku, I was able to demonstrate what it looks like to pray seriously, and show that our prayers are meant to make our entire family shine at our absolute best. This truth was conveyed directly to my grandchild’s heart and the depths of their life in the most beautiful way.
私にとっては、これこそが厳然たる「奇跡の瞬間」でした。
理屈ではなく、純粋な心・命のバトンが次世代へと引き継がれた瞬間だと確信しています。
仏法は観念ではありません。現証です。
To me, this was an undeniable “miraculous moment.” It wasn’t about logic; I am confident that the baton of pure faith and life-force was successfully passed down to the next generation. Buddhism is not mere theory. It is actual proof.
毎日毎日、お題目を一万遍あげ抜いていく中で、私たちの生活の真ん中には、こうした思わぬ感動や家族の強い絆という「価値創造」が必ず生まれてきます。
As I continue my daily battle of chanting 10,000 Daimoku, this kind of unexpected joy and the strengthening of family bonds—true “value creation”—invariably manifest at the very center of our lives.
祈りはすべての限界を突破し、日常を奇跡に変えていく最高の力です。
皆さまの今日の祈りは、大切な誰かの未来を照らしているでしょうか？
自分自身がまず「スーパーな自分」へと人間革命していく、最高の挑戦の一日にしていきましょう！
