I finished my 10,000 Daimoku this morning and came straight to the shop. Bought my favorite little something on the way, and I am eating it now, working through the morning. A small idea came to me today. I want to bring it to life.
Are You Still Taking On Challenges?
This morning, on my way to the shop, I asked myself a question. “Yukihiro Shima. Are you still taking on challenges?”
When you are still challenging, dreams and hopes fill your days. That is a natural thing. And when you stop challenging — the moment you stop — your strength to act begins to fade. Your body begins to fade. Your thinking hardens, and slowly, quietly, becomes small. I am sixty-nine. After a year of chanting 10,000 Daimoku every morning, I can say this from my own bones.
Why Some People Live with Such Life Force
Look around. People the same age. One lives with real life force. The other, you can feel it — the life force is not really there. What is the difference? I kept asking myself.
The answer was simple. Everything comes down to your own action. Look at what a person does. That tells you almost everything about how they think. Action shapes thinking. Thinking shapes action. So first, you move. When you move, life force rises up in you. When you stop moving, it quietly goes away.
A New Idea, Today
This morning, one idea stood up in my head. I want to bring it to life. At the shop, new challenges are moving almost every day. I hope to keep showing that ground to you, as it happens.
Today, again — one precious day, together with you, I want to win, and I want to create. Thank you.
