第3章：ネットの不安がいっぺんに吹き飛んだ！「これが中古!?」
On their day off, the couple drove from Tokyo and arrived at the showroom. They were welcomed by the store manager’s family with the warmest, brightest smiles, embodying the ideal SGI family.
休日のドライブ、店舗に到着すると、店長さんご一家が想像通りの「絵に描いたような最高の創価家族」の笑顔で迎えてくれました。
“This is the Butsudan we discussed over the phone.”

“By the way, Manager, are all the Butsudans lined up here secondhand? Why are they so incredibly beautiful?!”
In response to their amazement, the manager proudly replied: “Yes! We never just sell them as they are when we take them in. **At our specialized workshop, our skilled master craftsmen thoroughly clean, repair, and replace worn-out parts as if completely disassembling them.** That’s why you can completely trust our quality!”
「ところで店長さん、ここに並んでいるのは全部中古のお仏壇ですか？めちゃくちゃ綺麗じゃないですか！」驚くご夫婦に、店長は胸を張って答えました。「はい！私どもはそのまま売るのではないんです。自社専門の工房にて、熟練の職人が一度すべて分解する勢いで、徹底的な清掃・修理・消耗品の交換を行っています。だから安心してください！」
Hearing these words, all their anxieties about online shopping vanished in an instant, and they happily signed the contract right then and there with big smiles.
その言葉を聞き、インターネット通販に対する不安は一っぺんに吹き飛び、その場で即、笑顔の契約となりました。

Chapter 4: A 30-Year-Old Butsudan That Fulfilled Dreams with Tears, and the Ultimate Expression of Gratitude
第4章：涙で夢を叶えてきた30年物のお仏壇、そして最高の原稿料恩返し
On the way home, the wife began to share her deep feelings about their old Butsudan with her husband.
帰り道、奥様はご主人に、お仏壇への深い想いを語り始めました。
“The Butsudan we use now was passed down to me by my beloved Women’s Division leader when I was in the Young Women’s Division. Since we lived in a tiny one-room apartment, the Butsudan stood out majestically. Life was extremely difficult financially, but in front of that Butsudan, while shedding many tears, I chanted Daimoku with all my might.”
「今使っているあのお仏壇ね、私がまだ女子部の頃、大好きな婦人部長さんから譲っていただいたものだったの。四畳半の狭いアパートの生活だったから、お仏壇だけが立派にそびえ立っていてね。生活は本当に大変だったけれど、あの前で、涙を流しながら、猛烈にお題目をたくさんあげてきたの」
“And everything I prayed for in front of that Butsudan fulfilled my dreams. **My dream of becoming a professional Manga artist, our warm and happy family, and the healthy growth of our children—the Gohonzon fulfilled every single one of them.** That’s why, at first, I didn’t want to change it at all. I felt apologetic to our old Butsudan.”
「そうして、あのお仏壇の前で祈ってきたことが、全部私の夢を叶えてくれたんだよ。漫画家になる夢も、温かい家族の幸せも、子供たちの健やかな成長も、全部全部、あの御本尊様が叶えてくれたの。だから、最初は買い替える気なんて全くなかったの。あのお仏壇に申し訳なくて」
“But then, a major work offer that I had been praying for over many years finally came through at the end of last year. At that moment, I thought from the bottom of my heart: **’I want to use this precious manuscript fee to express my deepest gratitude to the Gohonzon in the ultimate way—by purchasing a new Butsudan!’** And today, we found the perfect, gentle, and beautiful Butsudan that aligns exactly with our feelings. I am so incredibly happy!”
「でもね、長年ずっと願い続けていた大きな仕事の依頼が、去年の年末に舞い込んできたの。その時に心から思ったんだ。『このいただいた大切な原稿料で、御本尊様への感謝の気持ちを、一番最高の形にして恩返しがしたい！』って。そしたら今日、私たちの想いにピッタリな、優しくて美しいお仏壇に出会えた。本当に本当によかった！」
The husband smiled gently beside his wife and said, *”I’m so glad we found the perfect Butsudan that matches your profound feelings. Thank you.”*
ご主人は「君の想いにぴったりの仏壇が見つかって本当によかったね。うん、ありがとう」と、奥様の隣で優しく微笑んでいました。
